I’ve been a Bree Olson fan for years. She used to be in some gonzo porn that I dug at the time, and she is (for lack of a better term) almost a comedic pornstar. She’s actually funny! Even now if you watch some of the behind-the-scenes stuff on her DVDs (Bree’s Slumber Party for example), she comes across as a really goofy, cute, and likeable chick. The scenes where she’s being interviewed with Derrick Pierce & Penny Flame are fucking funny, even out of the context of porn. She has a blog on her website, and if you don’t look at the pictures and videos beside it, you wouldn’t know she’s the Anal Queen. I remember reading her post about the death of her grandmother, which happened shortly after the death of my grandfather, and she was so heartwrenchingly honest that you couldn’t help but like her. Today, Bree posted this to twitter:
I’ve been hearing for a while that she was going mainstream, and it seems like she’s really trying to do it. Normally I’d rip into a pornstar that did this shit, because it’s almost a Hollywood cliche… girl moves out west, can’t hack it, fucks on film, but always dreams of being a legitimate movie star. I’m giving Bree, excuse me, Rachel, the benefit of the doubt. If Kim-motherfucking-Kardashian can come from an entitled, pampered background and become famous overnight for letting some D-List rapper piss on her in some sex tape, and propel that into a career based solely on squeezing her big ass into tiny clothes and having her picture taken, then I think Rachel Oberlin might have a real shot at becoming a “mainstream” star. She has more personality than most of the chicks on our TVs, and she’s already been through the gauntlet of being torn apart by the media. From now on, I will consider her retired from porn 🙁 I’m going to miss those big tits, but I’ll enjoy seeing more of the real Rachel.
